1. The original meaning of Amoeba

Amoeba(Ameba) is a Latin word for a single protozoan. It belongs to the protozoan Amoepidae. Its body is soft, and it can extend its pseudopodia in all directions to make the body change. The most distinguishing characteristic of amoeba is that it can change with the environment and constantly adjusts itself to adapt to its living environment.

Because of its strong adaptability, it has existed for billions of years. Amoeba is the oldest, most viable and continuous organism on earth.

2. Amoeba Management

Amoeba management is to divide the company into small amoebas(departments). The leader of each amoeba functions as its core, and each amoeba operates and has independent accountability. With the wisdom and efforts of all members, the goal of each amoeba is accomplished. Every employee takes the initiative to participate in doing business, so “management by all” is achieved.

3. The History of Amoeba Management

In 1959, Inoue Kazuo established Kyocera Corporation. In 1984, he established KDDI. Both of the two companies have maintained high yield, and Kyocera has survived four global economic crises. The reason is that they adopt the Amoeba Management, which is based on a firm business philosophy and sophisticated and independent accounting on the level of department.

After the Asian financial crisis in the late 1990s, many large companies in Japan had problems. However, the not-so-well-known Kyocera at that time became a company with the highest market value on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Self-consciousness, independent accounting, and separable/compatible characteristics in amoeba management are similar to those of amoeba. With Amoeba management, organizations can change the form constantly as the external environment changes, adjust to the optimal state, and flexibly adapt to changes in the market.

4. Zdoo Pro 2.3+ added Amoeba module

The Amoeba module is not exactly the same as the business management model of Inaba's Amoeba mentioned above. Inamori's amoeba management is more for the manufacturing industry. Amoeba module in Zdoo has been simplified.Currently

Currently, Amoeba Report, Trade, Budget, Expense Share,Income Allocation, Caption settings, and organizational structure management are integrated into Zdoo. These are all related to Income/Expense, Captions and company structure in CASH module in Zdoo. You have to do well bookkeeping when you use Amoeba module.
